Favorable Merlin Moments

Finally, here is my list of favorite episodes and why I love them. Warning, there are season/series 4 spoilers (even for the most recent episode). The list is longer than it originally was. Do not read this if you do not want to be spoiled.   1.       The Poisoned Chalice This is by far my most favorite episode. For me, it solidifies the relationship between Arthur and Merlin. Both laid down their lives for each other – Merlin when he willingly and knowingly drank the poison Arthur when he went against Uther to get the flower and was swarmed by a hoard of spiders. It was a beautiful and poignant episode that truly solidified my love for the episode. I loved how both Merlin and Arthur were so brave in the face of danger as well as how strong their friendship seemed to be right then and there. Oh, how I wish Arthur remembered Merlin’s deed in future adventures because the Prince seemed to quickly forget that Merlin laid down his life for Arthur. ...

A Story in Song

In a small corner of the world, there lives a singer/song writer duo who weaves magic and mysticism throughout their songs. They are called The Green Children . Their pieces are hauntingly beautiful and capture the imagination. It's as if they are bringing  Alice's Wonderland, King Arthur's Camelot, or Samwise Gamgee's Shire to life through their music. One of my favorite songs of theirs, is Dragons . It tells the story of 2, green-skinned children from 12th century England. The boy is ill and the girl watches over him. With his death, we (the viewer) switches to the present day, where a young woman - the lovely and talented, Milla Sunde - lays in bed. Like the boy was at the beginning of the story, she is ill. In her room, the boy, older though  (played by the dashing Marlow Bevan - the male half of The Green Children ), watches over her. He wants her because she reminds him of his sister. In her fevered state, she fantasizes about being sent, while dressed in a go...
